• Moors and Christians Fiesta • 19-22, 2012
Everyone enjoys the, "Awesome, Amazing", four day Moors and Christians Fiesta. This unique, historical regal and elegant costumed battle re-enactment dating back to the 15th century takes place over Oliva town during the third week of July. A great spectacle of marching, blood curdling battles, fantastic mounted troops in full costume. Starting on the beach with The Grand Entrance you will see the Moors (the 'Followers Of The Half Moon') landing and taking over. The great battle ensueshand to hand fighting through the town, blunderbusters and cannons firing to a dramatic occupation of the castle and triumphant re-conquest by the Christians.
